Yesterday students spent the day at Orana Park as part of their afternoon topic Endangered Animals. It was a perfect day – the weather was beautiful and luckily one of the park wardens accompanied the students and told them all sorts of interesting information about the animals.
Our visit on Tuesday afternoon to the class of students studying Japanese at Wharenui Primary School was especially interesting this week as SCLI students talked about life in Japan. The primary students were fascinated and surprised to learn that Japanese children do not have strict times they must go to bed.
At our assembly on Wednesday we discussed water safety and the fact that you need to swim between the flags at the beaches here. The students seemed surprised by this and I found out that many students had never swum at a beach before.
The forecast is for another beautiful day tomorrow- have a good weekend, everyone!
